Study trip to Hida, Japan (2019)
We attended a kumiki and wood working workshop where we learnt the tools and processes required in the production of different wood furniture. In the wood workshop, we experienced the process in making kumiki - famous Japanese wood joinery. We also got the chance to visit many renowned architectural projects by famous Japanese architects, Kengo Kumar & Tadao Ando.
Challenge of the Urban and Built Environment (2018)
A 5 day workshop cum competition hosted by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA). As part of the project brief, we were tasked to give Serangoon Central a new look. We learnt about the master planning of Singapore and the job scope of various URA personnel.
3 - month internship @ WeCreate Studio
(2020)
A 3-month internship at WeCreate Studio was filled with immense fun and experiential learning. It has broadened my perspective and view of the design and construction industry. The knowledge gained from my time at WeCreate Studio has supplemented my learnings in school a great deal.
2 - month internship @ Genesis Architects
(2021)
After graduating from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, I took the liberty to find an internship opportunity at Genesis Architects (Singapore). At Genesis Architects, I managed to learn the fundamentals and the application of the power of rendering, It allows us to better explain our ideas through visual aid.
